Powered Up

Come join us for a night of family fun!

This session of Powered Up is coming to a close, and to say farewell for the summer, we have something special planned! On the evening of April 30, we will be meeting at the Weir Farm, corner of Windover and Hills Church Road, in Murrysville from 5:30 to 7:30 for a night of food and fun! You will need to transport your child to and from the farm, and you are welcome to stay for the festivities. If you will not be staying with your child, please complete a release form (download form). There is no cost, but we would ask you to help provide food for the evening. Please have your children wear long pants. There will hay rides, pony rides, and other farm fun!

We know that it’s hard to make it every week to Powered Up, but that doesn’t mean that your kids can’t learn the timeless truths that they missed!

So, here are the Power Points and Prove It Passages from this session of Powered Up. While this memory work has lasting value that will benefit your kids for a lifetime, there is also the incentive of a day at Idlewild Park! Kids who have memorized all their memory work this year they will be rewarded with free admission to Idlewild!

We will give kids the opportunity to recite their memory work on April 30 at our end of year Farm Night celebration. If your child can’t be there, but would still like to finish their mememory work, please speak to Pastor Jon to make arrangements.

Join us on Thursday, February 19, 2009 @ 5:30 – 7:30PM for Chocolate Mania Night! It’s going to be fun – and delicious!

Don’t forget last week’s Power Point and Prove It! Passage:

Also, we’re planning a bowling adventure for the first Thursday meeting in March – March 5th, 2009. We’ll forward more details soon!

That’s right – join us this Thursday, October 2nd (5:30-7:30PM) – for chicken nuggets, ice cream sundaes, and all the Powered Up fun and learning you’ve come to expect from your friends at Murrysville Community Church! If you want to throw in a couple bucks to offset costs, great. If not, no big deal. Just be sure to join us!

Afterward, we’ll learn our new Power Point and Prove It! Passage, enjoy a wild new game, learn some new songs, practice our Powered Up Choir song, and – you guessed it – enjoy a light snack/dinner (sninner) of chicken nuggets and ice cream sundaes. Make plans now to join us!

Join us this Thursday for “Pizza and Sprite Night” (5:30-7:30PM @ MCC)! We’re going to sing songs, play games, spend time with God in His Word, and enjoy some great pizza together. Be there!!!!

Suggested donation: $2/person.

We officially launched the 2008-2009 Powered Up season last Thursday (9/18/08) – and what a great time we had! We sang silly songs, enjoyed popcorn and cotton candy, learned about “Power Points” and “Prove It Passages,” and even jumped liked kangaroos in the “Bounce House!”

If you couldn’t make it to our first meeting, don’t worry – we’ll be meeting again, this Thursday (9/25/08) at the same time (5:30-7:30PM). Thanks to all for making this great ministry possible!
